U = n√(x1 . x2 . x3 . ... . xn)
Information :
U = geometric mean valuex = data
n = amount of data
Example :
Please determine geometric mean of 2,4,8,16 !
Answer :
n = 4
x1 = 2
x2 = 4
x3 = 8
x4 = 16
U = 4√(x1 . x2 . x3 . x4)U = 4√(2 . 4 . 8 . 16)U = 4√(21 . 22 . 23 . 24)U = 4√(21+2+3+4)U = 4√210U = 210/4U = 25/2U = √25U = √32U = √(16 x 2)U = √16 x √2U = 4√2
So the geometric mean of 2,4,8,16 is 4√2
